Pope Francis’ post-synodal Apostolic Exhortation on the Amazon has been published today, Feb. 12, 2020. The papal document is the fruit of the Special Assembly of the Synod of Bishops for the Pan- Amazonian Region, on the theme “Amazon: new paths for the Church and for an integral ecology.”

The regional synod took place in the Vatican, Oct. 6-27, 2019, bringing together region’s Church leadership and religious order superiors, and the Roman Curia.
