After our nice gathering with Wendy's family Saturday we spent some time visiting with my family today in Hammond. Even though many of us will get together Tuesday for Christmas Day we had an opportunity today to visit with my little sister's two children who both live out of state; one in Kentucky the other in Arkansas. I haven't seen our nephew and niece in at least 20 months. Very nice to see them and catch up.
O have two sisters, the aforementioned Barbara with her tow children and Kathy. Both were present with spouses and also with us was our 86 year old aunt. But the star of the show again was granddaughter Brennan who for the second day in a row was all champ! She was playful, happy, sharing beautiful smiles.
Given the difficult year we have endured and the death of Wendy's mom, now just 5 weeks old, we have managed to have a nice Christmas so far. We have two family events under our belt, two more to go. We also had a nice time at our KC Christmas Party and I've added a couple of work related events and of course the wonderful night spent in Rayburn Prison celebrating Christmas!
So this is my little family update for Sunday, someone has to prepare a blog now for those #1 seeded New Orleans Saints!
