The traveling adventures of abitadeacon

Please note that postings will be light until at least the weekend.  Wendy and I are leaving North Carolina early Friday morning waving goodbye to the family we have not seen since last year(thanks to Covid19). If leaving our family and our first two grandchildren, Calvin & Katelyn, is not bad enough we are very aware of the latest hurricane bearing down on home state Louisiana.  Hurricane Delta will not be a direct hit for my community but will increase rain, some wind and other concerns. It appears we will be driving home for about half the travel time in rain.

We are heartbroken for all the people who will be directly impacted, especially those so devastating by Hurricane Laura.  This has been a brutal and mean hurricane season and Louisiana has been greatly impacted before whatever takes place this weekend.

So for now the computer gets packed, we awake in the darkness of early morning and we navigate our way home no matter what.

Stay tuned to abitadeacon blogspot as postings pick up over the weekend.
