Let's continue to fervently pray an Act of Spiritual Communion

Are you continuing to pray this beautiful prayer?  Many of us were introduced or reacquainted with an Act of Spiritual Communion when public masses were suspended due to Coronavirus.  Now that talk has begun of a slow return to Mass the truth is that for the majority of us, this will not be the case.  At our parish seating capacity is 300.  We celebrate 5 masses for Sunday obligation.  Currently, only 10 can attend Mass and we are not quite back to having all 5 masses.  And once the next phase is announced, we will be allowed a maximum of 75.  Understandably, many will still be waiting to attend and receive Jesus in Holy Communion.  Participating in Mass by watching live stream way still be the way to go so we are called to pray an Act of Spiritual Communion.  Now that I have been reunited with this prayer, I plan on praying it often, when I can't make daily Mass due to work, any illness, etc.

An Act of Spiritual Communion

My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.

Amen.
