1. First lets address something beyond ridiculous in 2019: how to you have a NFL franchise with the most piece of crap field ever. The playing field today was a joke. A pox on your house Titans.
2. This game was a tale of two halves of football.
3. Let's get thru the first half first: for almost 28 minutes the Saints played like crap.
4. How can you incur that many penalties? Either too undisciplined or the NFL really does have it bad against these Saints.
5. Defense started slowly and allowed two cheap scores before waking up and forcing sacks.
6. Saints got the first big break needed on an excellently executed Brees to Jared Cook TD. One score game before halftime.
7. Second half begins; welcome back Alvin Kamara, Saints take lead on perfect run from scrimmage.
8. On that big run and all day long excellent job on the O-line by back-ups Clapp and Easton.
9. Before I forget, Deonte Harris was lights on almost every kick and punt return.
10. Let's start talking about Michael Thomas; key catches all day long. An incredible game and now the all-time NFL leading receiver for any year.
11. Drew Brees got stronger and more consistent as the game wore on. He was clearly frustrated however in the first half.
12. Saints defense, once spotted a 10 point lead, played soft and allowed Titans back in game late 3rd quarter and again 4th quarter. Overall, with the lead, the defense played well.
13. Jared Cook and Alvin Kamara scoring 2 TD's in any given game is almost always going to lead to victory.
14. Demario Davis might be the best LB we've had in quite some time.
15. Patrick Robinson played great. Was actually a step up compared to the now injured Eli Apple.
16. Overall, someone needs to acknowledge that the Saints have done an incredible job replacing injured starters all year on both sides of ball. Next man up is really working!
17. Drew Brees did take a ridiculous sack, close to a safety, with way too much time left in game. It did contribute to a Titans score.
18. Guess it needs to be admitted: thank goodness no Derrick Henry. Could have made a difference. 19. Saints had the best executed fake punt ever except the receiver, a DB named Hardee dropped the easy catch.
20. In years past that fake punt fiasco would be the beginning of the end but not today.
21. Gardner-Johnson comes up with defensive play of the game forcing a critical Titan fumble with 4 minutes left in game.
22. Saints close it out with TD drive capped off by the great, record-breaking Michael Thomas.
23. Saints final TD was stand up offense with the greatest connection ever of Brees to Thomas.
24. Saints sitting tonight at a very impressive 12-3 record and still NFC champion and still needing stuff to happen for #1 seed.
25. And the Dallas Cowboys lost out again, they are toast. Cowboys losing always makes me happy.
26. Most overrated teams in the league: of course Dallas and those no account cheating LA Rams. Enjoy your off-season cheaters.
Geaux Saints!
