4 more Catholic priests accused of sex abuse, New Orleans Archdiocese confirms
NEW ORLEANS —
Four more clergymen have been added to a list of Catholic priests credibly accused of sex abuse, according to the Archdiocese of New Orleans.
According to a statement from the archdiocese, the names of religious order priests who were serving in the Archdiocese of New Orleans at the time of the allegation and the archdiocese was notified of the allegation.

The names added to the list were:

- Date of Death: 1994

Robert Poandl, g.h.m.
- Date of Birth: unknown
- Ordination Date: 1968
- Removed from Ministry: 2009
- Allegations reported to the Archdiocese of New Orleans: 2009

- Christopher Springer, CSSR
- Date of Birth: 1925
- Ordination Date: 1952

Those names were published either by the religious order or by another diocese, according to the archdiocese statement.
Nearly 60 men who served as clergy in the Archdiocese of New Orleans, some of whom are dead and some alive -- were publicly named in connection with sexual abuse allegations against them in 2018.
The schools and churches where the men served were scattered across the city. Many of the men served not just in New Orleans, but elsewhere in southeast Louisiana. The list also shows the accused served at multiple religious institutions.
The names of 57 men are included in the list. Those who are now dead "admitted or have been publicly accused of sexually abusing a minor," officials said in a statement.
