Pope’s Back to School Advice: Pray Every Day, Take Part in Sunday Mass

Also Prays Mary Whose Birth We Remember September 8th Helps Them on Their Path to Holiness

Pope Francis has given back to school advice to children and young people: pray every day and take part in Sunday Mass.
Recalling it’s that time of year for many right now, in his Sept. 5, 2018, General Audience Wednesday morning, the Holy Father gave this encouragement.
Greeting Polish-speaking pilgrims in St. Peter’s Square, Francis addressed “the children and young people, who begin a new school year, as well as to their parents and educators,” and said: “May this return “be a time to learn knowledge, wisdom and acquire an experience of life.”
“Don’t forget,” the Pope underscored, “to pray every day and to take part in Sunday Mass.”
“May the Virgin Mary, the feast of whose birth we will remember Saturday, [Sept. 8],” Pope Francis concluded, “help you to tend to holiness.”
