As the McCarrick scandal shows no signs of going way, you are about to see several posts on this blog with various statements and reactions to this disgusting scandal.
I want to make my own personal point that no one who calls themselves Catholic should be considering leaving the Church. There is no dismissing or condoning what we are experiencing as church however, the Church remains what She is, the one true bride of Christ.
We won't sweep this under the rug, and we won't stop celebrating the ministry and mission of the Church.
May God have mercy on us and call us back to being true witnesses to His eternal plan. May we never stop praying for all fellow humans who have been abused and used by any predator and we especially mourn the sins of these Church "leaders" and ministers. Pray hard, pray more, then keep praying hard, fast, then cling to Holy Mother Church!
