Some basic reminders about the Christmas season which just begun with the Christmas vigils yesterday evening and is now completing Day 1.
Here is what is to come for Christmas 2015:
Saturday December 26th: The Feast of St. Stephen, 1st Deacon and Christian Martyr
Sunday December 27th: The Feast of the Holy Family
**Note: when not a Sunday the 27th is also the Feast of St. John, Beloved Apostle & Evangelist
Monday December 28th: The Feast of the Holy Innocents, Martyrs
Tuesday December 29th: The Feast of St. Thomas Becket
Wednesday December 30th: Within the Octave of Christmas
Thursday December 31st: The Feast of St. Sylvester
Friday January 1st: Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, a holy day of obligation(opportunity)
Saturday January 2nd: The Feast of St. Basil the Great and St. Gregory Nazianzus
Sunday January 3rd: The Feast of the Epiphany of the Lord
**Note: when not a Sunday the 3rd is also the Feast of St. Genevieve
Monday January 4th: The Feast of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton
Tuesday January 5th: The Feast of St. John Neumann
Wednesday January 6th: The traditional remembrance of the Epiphany once known as Little Christmas
Sunday January 10th: The Feast of the Baptism of the Lord
And once this is complete, then, and not 'til then, is Christmas over!!
