Twelve martyrs put to death by Albigensian
heretics nearToulouse, France, on the
eve of the feast of the Ascension. Four diocesan priests, three Dominicans, two Benedictines, two Franciscans, and one layman died singing the Te Deum. They were
beatified in 1866.
