In order to provide pastoral care for the people of God in the Archdiocese of New Orleans, Archbishop Aymond has made the following appointments:
Pastors
(All appointments for pastors are for a six-year term, which may be renewed.)
Reverend Charles Benoit, O.S.B., as Pastor of St. Benedict Parish, Covington, effective June 1, 2015.
Reverend Edward M. Grice as Pastor of St. Margaret Mary Parish, Slidell, effective July 1, 2015.
Reverend Michael Labre as Pastor of St. Thomas Parish, Pointe a la Hache/Assumption Mission, Braithwaite, effective July 1, 2015.
Reverend Geoffrey Omondi Muga, F.M.H., as Pastor of Resurrection of Our Lord Parish, New Orleans, effective July 1, 2015.
Reverend Joseph Dau Nguyen as Pastor of St. Bonaventure Parish, Avondale, effective July 1, 2015.
Reverend Emile G. “Buddy” Noel as Pastor of Our Lady of Prompt Succor, Westwego/Holy Guardian Angels, Bridge City, effective July 1, 2015.
Reverend Anthony Odiong as Pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Parish, Luling, effective Aug. 15, 2015.
Reverend John J. Payne as Pastor of St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish, New Orleans, effective July 1, 2015.
Administrator
Reverend Wayne C. Paysse as Administrator of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Slidell, effective July 1, 2015, while Msgr. Lipps will remain pastor, during his recuperation.
