Hill, 19, raised more than $1 million in cancer research after her battle with cancer became a national story.
"What's happening now is not going to help me and it's not going to help everybody else right away. But it's going to help in the future, and it's eventually going to make something happen," Hill said a few months ago.
Hill was diagnosed during her senior year in high school in 2014. She decided to attend Division III Mount St. Joseph's and play basketball as she had planned. Mount St. Joseph's moved up its basketball season two weeks ahead of schedule to allow Hill to play.
"It was a dream come true to play on the college court. And it was so thrilling to get there and be able to put my foot down and feel the roar of the crowd and the vibrations of the floor boards and I love it so much," Hill said earlier this year after scoring her first college points in front of a sold-out crowd of more than 10,000 people.
