The New Acolytes in the Archdiocese of New Orleans

Here are the 19 men who became instituted acolytes Thursday night, along with Archbishop Gregory Aymond.


In the next 12 months they will assist the Deacon and Priest at Masses by setting the altar, helping distribute Holy Communion and other functions as needed.  They are not yet ordained, that will come in June, 2015, when finally, by God's Holy Will, these acolytes will become Permanent Deacons and members of the clergy.
