BATON ROUGE - The second-ranked and second-seeded LSU baseball (52-9) team knocked of top-seeded and top-ranked Vanderbilt to claim the 10th Southeastern Conference Tournament title in school history in 11 innings on Sunday, 5-4.
LSU rightfielder Jared Foster was hit by a pitch with one out in the 11th inning and stole second, and pinch hitter Chris Sciambra hit a single to center field to drive in the go-ahead run.

Chris Cotton (4-1), who retired all 17 batters he faced in the SEC Tournament, was named the MVP. He earned the win with eight-straight outs from the ninth to 11th innings to give the Tigers the title.
LSU learned Sunday night that it will play host to an NCAA Regional. The full field will be announced on Monday at 11 a.m. CT on ESPNU.
