It is indeed a proud night tonight in the Bayou State because LSU beat Alabama in a hard fought defensive struggle 9-6 in overtime. It was a game in which both defenses never really broke and Alabama's inability to convert FG's cost them a victory. It was a game with no touchdowns. It was a game with LSU suffering two turnovers before LSU came back to get two of their own; including what might have been a game saving pick by Eric Reid. It was a game where a 72 yard punt by Brad Wing was huge. It was a game where Alabama mistakes in overtime cost the red menace dearly. And it was a game in which our kicker can actually covert a FG and the victory belongs to LSU.
I would hope that most Louisiana residents are proud Louisianians tonight. Some are not. Shame on them.
You got to line up and play these games one at a time and great things may await LSU provided we play them as they come. Afterall, Arkansas is still on the schedule and a probable SEC championship game.
But tonight it's Victory for LSU!
