So we have hit a new 40 year low in birth rates for the good old USA and more and more of Blessed Pope Paul VI's predictions come true from Humane Vitae.
We are simply contracepting ourselves into insignificance. When Catholic parents gather because their parochial school is consolidating, or worse, closing, when we wonder about a shortage of vocations, we almost never discuss the real culprit: artificial contraception and an overall attitude that 1 or 2 children is more than enough.
