Every visit to Rayburn Correctional with the men of the St. Peter's Catholic Community is great; absolutely awesome! Tonight 35 men were in attendance and we had music, prayer, fellowship and the Eucharist. We also had 3 first time seminarians with us from St. Benedict's Seminary; the minor seminary here in the Archdiocese of New Orleans. In addition to these young priesthood discerning seminarians, we also had 2 men for the diaconate program involved now in their clinical pastoral training or CPT.
Tonight the men presented me with a birthday card, signed by over 40 of my brothers in faith!
Each and every visit is an exercise in faith; I receive so much more than I give!
