Out the door I go and my first visit today is the hospital room where my wife awaits more medical testing. She has already been informed this morning no food, no drink but the time of the test; well, we are not sure. Hospitals! Can't live with them and can't live without them, especially when your health is far from optimal.
Wendy is a fighter, she knows that. Hopefully, so will her body. Cardiac diseases can be hideous and she will always battle this monster. So far, doctors have helped her through this; she needs to keep fighting too! All she wants to do today is crochet. So I'll be carrying a bag full of sewing stuff to her room.
My daughter left a message last night that her fiancé is at least home, released from his unexpected hospitalization after a diving mishap as part of his fire-fighting responsibilities. She must be exhausted; first helping her mom yesterday morning when all hell broke loose and then in the late afternoon getting a call from her fiancé.
Monday still means work for me, medical tests for Wendy, hopefully rest for my daughter and fiancé and my appearance tonight at the church parish school of religion in my wife's absence; it's open house night.
Thanks for all your prayers for my family; feel free to keep them going strong.
On this feast day of an Apostle I ask good St. Bartholomew to intercede for us!
