I'm thrilled to report that Wendy is home and feeling well. Extensive blood work and other medical tests, including a chemical stress test, revealed no heart attack, no new blockages and new strong collateral blood flow from her exercise regimen. But what caused the heart racing issues that brought us to the hospital? Turns out a series of circumstances that led to a sudden drop in her magnesium level, and a slight drop in potassium. Seems a new prescription and an existing prescription recently tweaked conspired to mess with these important levels that help a heart beat regularly. In other words, all the really bad stuff ruled out for now and we go forward with a change in meds and an increase in a magnesium supplement.
I am so thankful for all those who offered prayers and called. It's a great thing to pray for one another so never be shy about asking for prayer. Wendy joins me in thanking all of you!
