Here is a ZENIT translation of Pope Francis’ Angelus address following the canonization of Blesseds Stanislaus of Jesus and Mary and Maria Elizabeth Hesselblad, held in St. Peter’s Square this morning:
***
Before the Angelus:
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I greet all of you who have participated in this celebration. In a special way, I thank the official delegations that came for the canonizations: that of Poland, headed by the President of the Republic, and that of Sweden. May the Lord, through the intercession of the two new saints, bless your nations.
I greet with affection the numerous groups of pilgrims from Italy and other countries, in particular the faithful from Estonia, as well as those from the Diocese of Bologna and the musical bands present.
All together, let’s now turn in prayer to the Virgin Mary, so that she always guide us on the path toward holiness and supports us, day by day, in constructing justice and peace.
Angelus …
