Where have all the readers gone?

I always acknowledge that I am a very amateur blogger.  Everything I've learned I've done so on my own.  I am pleased with the progress of the blog but do not understand readership trends.  Perhaps blogger is the issue; I just don't know.  This blog keeps stats, as best I appreciate it, based on folks clicking on a story.  It does not keep track of visitors who may just browse and scroll.  Each month I watched in amazement as readership jumped from 1500 to 2500 to 3500.  Then a few months back the numbers jumped.  I was averaging over 200 reads per day; everyday.  The blog total reached 6000 and then last month well over 7000.  August started off on pace until the last week or so.  Now, most days come in with 120 to 150 reads.  On this pace for August, I will be lucky to hit 5000 reads.

Why the decline?  Why the earlier increase?  I truly don't know.  If anyone knows how this works, send me a comment.  Look me up on facebook.

My blog is dedicated totally to my life as a Catholic permanent Deacon, the faith and other things that interest me.  I hope to continue this for a long time and I hope you come by for a visit and tell  friend.

Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever!
