Louisiana is the world's prison capital

The headlines in today's largest newspaper in Louisiana, the New Orleans Times Picayune blares: Louisiana is the world's prison capital.  I'm going to provide the link below so you can read for yourself.

Remember I minister in  a state facility; the Rayburn Correctional Center.  My experiences there and with the men have all been positive but I understand my time there is limited and with those inmates that have already expressed a desire to participate in faith based programs.  All I can say is that at Rayburn, I have experienced amazing visits and have personally witnessed the activities of and results of both the educational programs and faith based programs.
