Abp. Aymond congratulates Amy Coney Barrett on Supreme Court confirmation

Archbishop Gregory Aymond issued the following statement Monday night upon the U.S. Senate's 52-48 vote to confirm Metairie native Amy Coney Barrett as an associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. Barrett is the daughter of Deacon Michael Coney and his wife, Linda, who are members of St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Metairie.

"One of our own, Judge Amy Coney Barrett, has been confirmed by the U.S. Senate as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court. We pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to lead her and guide her in her service to our country. Congratulations to her parents, Deacon Mike and Linda Coney!"
