Almost 10 years!

On Thursday of the coming week I will celebrate 10 years of ordination to the diaconate.  Tonight most of our class of 2008 gathered at St. Catherine of Sienna Church for Mass and then dinner afterwards.

In the picture are 17 of us(I'm the one on the top step so I look the tallest) along with our class mentor, Deacon Jim Bialas.  In the front row Deacon Bobby is holding a picture of our lone classmate who has died and moved on to his heavenly reward, Deacon Mike Zaointz.

We were joined at dinner by our ordaining Archbishop, Alfred Hughes as well as our current deacon director and great friend Deacon Ray Duplechain and wife Carol.

Tonight was an awesome evening and we were even treated to a spectacular slide show of the 5+ years of formation and the actual ordination ceremony.
