Rest in peace sweet mother-in-law; thank you for the gift of your daughter

Lynn V Holden, 10-15-1940 - 11-19-2019

She met me as a bunch of kids were playing ball in Wendy's front yard one day, she thought I was being mean to a next door neighbor and she came outside and told me to go home and to not come back until I would be better behaved.  Well I came back, she welcomed me with open arms and she would become my mother-in-law for over 41 years and then she became "Momsy" when my son, pictured with her below, came along in 1978.

Lynn, aka "Momsy", took a terrible fall on June 2nd and has had one medical emergency after another.  Finally this week, her tired body just grew too tired and this morning, around 8:15, went to her eternal rest, peacefully, surrounded by her daughters, her two sons in law and granddaughter Elizabeth, our youngest.

We will miss her but we will remember the great times and good memories and we pray for her, asking God to shower her with mercy and peace.  As a Catholic, she loved the Rosary so if you may be so inclined, offer a Rosary for Lynn.  Of course all prayers are welcome.  I am asking for prayers for Wendy and her sister Carrie too  They will miss her the most.

For me, I will miss her too but today as I prayed for her and over her I whispered what I guess I never had told her before: thank you for the gift of your girl who became my wife.  I am forever indebted to you!

The picture I selected was from Elizabeth's wedding a few years ago, walking up the aisle escorted by her oldest grandchild, our son James.  This was a happy moment for her, a happy time.  These are the things we are going to remember the most:
