LAFAYETTE, La. -- Ten people were shot at a movie theater Thursday evening in Lafayette, including the suspected gunman, according to The Associated Press.
The shooter, who reportedly shot himself, is dead. One of the nine victims has reportedly died.

One Carencro resident told The Daily Advertiser said she was watching a movie at the time of the shooting. About 20 minutes in, she heard a loud noise.
"We heard a loud pop we thought was a firecracker," she said.
The woman told the Advertiser she saw "an older white man" standing up and shooting down.
"He wasn't saying anything. I didn't hear anybody screaming either," she said.
She heard about six shots before fleeing the theater.
