Vandalism and Desecration in Louisiana

This happened right here in Louisiana in a small Acadian town.  Why would someone want to do this?  I hope the guilty get caught, more importantly, I hope the guilty repent and beg God's mercy......

Catholic Church In Mermentau Vandalized

The St. John the Evangelist church in Mermantau was vandalized yesterday, and church leaders are asking for your help.
(Facebook)
From the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church Facebook page:
Yesterday (May 25, 2015) was a sad and emotional day for our church parish. St. John’s was vandalized between the hours of 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. The vandals removed the tabernacle from the altar and spread the Holy Eucharist on the floor. We have filed a police report and all the necessary steps were taken to make sure the Most Precious Body of Christ that was desecrated has been disposed of correctly in regards to Canon Law.
Please be in prayer for our church, Fr. Moreau, our parishioners and for the person/persons that committed this sin.
If anyone has any information about this crime please call the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office or contact us.
We are asking everyone to please share this post to spread the word. God bless you all and thank you in advance for sharing!
If you know anything about this crime, please contact the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office at 337-788-8700.
