The Gianna Center has come to New Orleans

With the blessings and support of His Excellency, Archbishop Gregory Aymond, The Gianna Center of the Gulf South has been established in the Archdiocese of New Orleans. The Gianna Center is an extension of the National Gianna Center in New York City, a non-profit organization that provides pro-life healthcare founded in the Catholic faith.
As a provider and educator of pro-life healthcare, The Gianna Center offers Natural Procreative Technology (NaProTechnologyTM) and uses the Creighton Model FertilityCareTM System, both of which are effective healthcare practices that have successfully remedied infertility and gynecological issues in women. Furthermore, The Gianna Center clinic will pioneer adolescent gynecology to educate young females about the gift of their bodies and fertility. Due to current medical standards in gynecology, doctors use the birth control pill to treat the symptoms as opposed to the underlying causes of many problems. As a result, many women now experience multiple gynecological issues, including infertility. Approximately nine million couples in our country are struggling to conceive, and the prevailing alternative offered by the medical community is in-vitro fertilization. While in-vitro is promoted as the solution to infertility, its success rate is approximately 15 to 30 percent, while the Creighton Model solution is up to 80 percent effective. The medical services and education provided by the Gianna Center will empower women and couples with the truth that will allow them to take responsibility for their health without compromising their morals.
In order to carry out this mission, the Gianna Center of the Gulf South is seeking benefactors. Thus far, we have received a grant of $72,000 from a local foundation, which has funded the training of seven Creighton practitioners and one Creighton medical consultant. Currently, these practitioners see clients on the Northshore in an office space provided by the Archdiocese. In addition, the Franciscan Missionaries, who operate Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, have generously donated clinic space in Covington; however, we are still in need of funds to provide for staff and equipment before the clinic can open. Furthermore, Dr. Christine Hemphill, one of only fourteen NaProTechnology-trained surgeons in the world, has received multiple offers from other medical institutions throughout the United States, but has made The Gianna Center of the Gulf South her first choice. However, The Gianna Center currently lacks the funds to fulfill Dr. Hemphill’s contract.
Please prayerfully consider funding this endeavor, either with a one-time donation or with an on-going pledge. The board members of The Gianna Center are also available to meet to discuss in detail the business plan and other aspects of this project. As a benefactor of The Gianna Center, you are participating in the renaissance of Catholic medicine by empowering women with knowledge and education, strengthening engaged and married couples, and providing an superior solution to infertility.
