Before I get to carried away I know this isn't Boston or New York, or North Dakota. You may recall last year I regaled you with the winter storm we unexpectedly ran into on our Mardi Gras visit to North Carolina to see # grandson. All day Tuesday, which was Mardi Gras day back home, it snowed, and snowed some more. It was exciting and scary all at the same time for a New Orleans boy.
It's not March as we fast forward one year but it is Mardi Gras week. We arrived tonight here in the Greensboro area and the temperature has dropped 20 degrees since 8 PM, we witnessed snow flurries for a short time and the wind is howling. Snow is predicted for tomorrow morning, Monday afternoon, wintry mix Tuesday and real air temperatures below 10. In fact, a visit 3hours of west of here scheduled for Wednesday shows a predicted low of -3 and a high of 11. Now I know this is normal for folks far north, not so much for me. In fact, I don't think I've ever experienced lows this low, except maybe once in Tulsa.
So stand by as I get ready to share my great winter adventure!
