Archbishop Aymond blesses police officers before the big Mardi Gras weekend

From the Clarion Herald:
Archbishop Gregory Aymond offered a prayer Friday afternoon for the safety of the 150 Louisiana State Troopers deployed in New Orleans to help with police presence during Mardi Gras. Archbishop Aymond said the city owes a debt of gratitude to the State Police for keeping New Orleans safe. He met with Louisiana State Police Col. Michael Edmondson and New Orleans Police Superintendent Michael Harrison. Mayor Mitch Landrieu said the shooting deaths of two people watching the Muses parade on Thursday night was a tragedy, but he praised police for quickly apprehending the suspect.
