It's the first Sunday in November; it's cool, it's getting dark early and I love it. By the way, the Saints lose; not just lose, they stunk it up. And I indeed am all good. I hate that professional sports teams or anything for that matter can take up so much of your life; so much so it can impact the way you feel, your mood and how you approach Monday. Foolish I know. But one must take the good with the bad as I don't remember complaining too much the year the Saints won it all!
Besides, I preached today twice and within opening the Word in my homily I was able to pay tribute to my fallen friend from Rayburn. It was a tough yet spiritually uplifting moment for me; and hopefully for the congregation. And I got to Skype with #1 grandson Calvin who just gets bigger and better every week we visit! Love #1 grandson!
And looking forward I have another busy week for ministry, big week at work and my wife has our home improvement project rocking along.
So the heck with a Saints loss, although I hate them. In the big picture does it really matter and I have my Super Bowl memories forever!
And yes, God is in control!
