Hurricane Season: it ain't over yet

Well, it ain't over until it's over; hurricane season lasts through November and even though we escaped the hot brutal summer months without even a scare, here we are this1st week of October.  Remember Sandy last year?  October.  We in southeast Louisiana can still hold out lots of hope because this Karen thing is not going to be a strong storm, it is predicted to move fast and as of now(Thursday evening) will be on a path to the east of a direct hit.  This just goes to show you, when it comes to hurricane season, always be prepared.  This is the latest track from the NHC:
