After delivering a very impressive eulogy before Mass began, Mayor Mitch Landrieu of New Orleans took to the choir loft to sing Ave Maria as the gifts were presented and the altar prepared for the Liturgy of the Eucharist at the funeral mass for Lindy Boggs, the first female member of Congress from Louisiana and the first female ambassador to the Vatican.
