A pretty spirited discussion broke out tonight at the parish Bible study relative to the reverence in the Church before, during and after Mass along with the proper way to receive the Eucharist. Of great interest was the manner in which one should receive the sacred host on the hands. We even discussed how communion in the hand became permissable after many years of on the tongue only.
