On Good Friday, Christians focus on the crucifixion of Jesus. The Stations of the Cross represent various scenes along the way as Christ carried the cross to Calvary. The practice originated with pilgrimages to Jerusalem, and the desire to represent the holy places in other lands.

>>>This historic New Orleans cemetery also is from an area that experienced massive Katrina damage.  The Catholic Church has helped the area come back and is alive and well in New Orleans.  The article mentions today's event drew the largest crowd in 80 years.  Praise God!
