Over the next few days I will be on the road for a business trip to the bustling city of Houston, Texas. I've been to Houston before, both for a family vacation and business trips. My desire to travel for business in these Lenten days is not strong and this is a week prior to a preaching assignment. From the looks of my business itinerary, I'm going to really have to work hard to find some quality homily time.
At least tonight, on the eve of my departure, I was able to be present for a beautiful Eucharistic Holy Hour where the very talented Kitty Cleveland provided beautiful reflective music while Jesus was exposed in the Blessed Sacrament. I was asked to read some beautifully written Eucharistic reflections that also pointed to the bounteous love and forgiveness of Jesus our Savior!
So as I need to make time for this mandated trip, I take the memories of this night with me and if I can be so bold, the request for you to pray for traveling mercies for the abitadeacon.
And I hope to be able to offer some blogging from Houston.
