The below article, from the parish website where Deacon Lou served, is an obituary if you will for this incredible servant, Deacon Lou Weitzel. He died at the age of 99, still serving as a Deacon after 27 years of service. Deacons, like Priests, must retire at age 75 but can continue in active ministry with the permission of the local Ordinary.
