The election is over, all the votes are cast. As of 10 pm central time it looks like we get a split decision: the Democratic Party takes over the House but not by much and the Republican Party controls the Senate and actually increased their lead. So really there was no true Blue Wave, can't say there was a Red Wave, Americans just voted, folks won, folks lost. Now this new government needs to figure out how to move forward, how to actually work for the common good. Most likely, they will just fight, point fingers, start running all over again for the next election.
For us, the vast majority, we need to move on. Live life, go to work or school, do what we do, pray, worship God. As we move forward maybe we can take the temperature down, give off my light than heat, strive to get along, respect differences, cling to your beliefs but treat everyone kindly.
I learned some time ago that when it comes to elections you vote, you support your candidate, maybe you make a donation or volunteer time but at the end of the day you just receive the results, you win or you lose and then you buckle up and move on.
Look there is no authority to get worked up about other than the supreme authority of God above. He loves us, wants to bless us and desires we spend eternity with Him. That's all that matters tonight and every other night.
Thanks be to God!
