And the water flows

After a serious conversation with a plumber friend I took off for the pump shed with blow dryer in hand. Carefully locating the area I was told to apply the heat, I waited and waited.  About to give up, suddenly the long sleepy pump motor awoke, with a thud.  It actually scared me!  Realizing this was some sought of breakthrough I ran to the house and yes, the water was flowing!!   Just me, with a great assist from a good man on the phone and a blow dryer.  We did it!  And now the water flows.  Now we hope for success tonight as we hard freeze again.  This has been a most intense winter.
