Firing an unwed pregnant teacher at a Catholic School; should we? If yes, how can the firing be both chatitable and merciful?

Ok I know these sorts of things have been going on for quite some time.  I've really never understood w hy, when teaching at a Catholic school and working under a morals contract, we have cases over and over like this.  And recently we can add to the list the same-sex attraction teachers who, at some point, do something so obvious that the Catholic School is caught in a precarious situation.

Often times the decision of the Catholic School comes across, at first blush, as mean-spirited, uncharitable and un-Christian like.  However, something must indeed be done, but what?

The Church, with a capital C, has done a poor job at times, especially in education, of forming and teaching our own on the why of her unshakable and proper teachings concerning life, marriage and, dare I say the word: SIN.  But the Church has also failed, at times, by example, to miss the mark on things like charity and mercy.

Of course, when I say Church, I am talking about those entrusted with it's teaching and governance.

Two of my favorite bloggers have looked very carefully at this latest event that occurred in Montana.

Please give them a careful read:
