Today, in all the Catholic Churches in the Archdiocese of New Orleans, the following prayer was offered for Pope Benedict, and will continue to be offered through this coming Thursday:
For Pope Benedict as he serve his final days as Pope, that his fidelity to Christ, his love for the Church and his courage in leadership may continue to inspire the minds and hearts of all on our pilgrim journey, and that he may find solace and peace in the heart of Christ...we pray to the Lord.
R. Lord, hear our prayer.
May we hold Pope Benedict XVI in our prayers this week and for the upcoming conclave and the Cardinal-electors.
