Today's Catechism highlights:
God provides man with constant evidence of Himself...
He did this with our first parents from the very beginning...
Invites mankind to intimate communion with Him...
This revelation not broken off by the sin of our first parents...
Still God is hope of salvation...
God wishes eternal life to all those who seek salvation by patience in well-doing...
Covenant with Noah after the flood points to the divine economy toward the nations...
Division into many nations is cosmic, social and religious...
Intended to limit the pride of fallen humanity...
The covenant with Noah remains in force during the times of the Gentiles...
Bible venerates many greats among the Gentiles: Abel, Melchisedek, Noah, Daniel, Job...
In order to gather scattered humanity God calls Abram and makes him Abraham, the father of many nations...
Descendants from Abraham are the trustees of the promise to the patriarchs...
They would be the root on whiuch the Gentiles would be grafted, once they believed...
Patriarchs, prophets and other Old Testament figures are Saints in the Church's liturgical traditions...
