As is often the case, when the high drama of a breaking news event fades, so does the focus. We are no longer under any threat of bad weather and things are getting back to normal for many. However, those impacted by flood waters are still unsure when they can return home and in other cases, when they can finally get out of their home. Just yesterday 2 bodies were discovered in the Braithwaite community. And as the skies clear and the heat reaches into the mid nineties, we have hundreds of thousands still with no power.
Hurricane Isaac, a mere category 1 storm, wreaked havoc. Louisiana is either more vulnerable than ever with it's disappearing coastline or this was no ordinary cat 1 storm.
In any event, please continue to offer prayers as so many now must face drying out their homes and their lives!
