Saints beat Falcons big in prime time; where has this team been all year?

The Saints and Falcons rivalry is legend and they say you can throw out the records when they meet.  Tonight would be a prime example as the 5-0 Falcons were favored to handle the 1-4 and floundering New Orleans Saints.  Yet it is the Saints standing victorious at 31-21.  Far from a perfect effort, here are some of the reasons the Saints won:

An impressive defensive performance especially in the red-zone.
3 very critical turnovers by the defense, 2 coming as Atlanta is driving.
Stand up play by Delvin Breaux vs. Julio Jones.
Incredible tackling by LB Dannell Ellerbe
Getting pressure on Matty Ice.
How about an incredible lack of penalties by the Saints on both sides of the ball.
The incredible deja vu blocked punt by Saints legacy Mike Mauti.
A really sharp incredible general-like game by Hall of Famer to be Drew Brees.
Ben Watson's incredible performance catching almost everything.
How about the offensive line coming together after #1 draft pick Andrus Peat goes down.
Speaking of O-line, what about #76 doing great job as a 3rd stringer; his name is Tony Hills.
Some tough running at times by Ingram and Robinson.
Sean Payton calling an awesome game.
That huge 4th down conversion.

Now the Saints sit at 2-4 and no one should see anything in this victory that points to a big winning record.  For me, this win will help the Saints achieve the 6 wins I have predicted.  Be advised; that if they win more than 6 I will be pleased.  We still need to find some consistency!

What still should worry the Saints and all Saints fans:

Saints have a FG kicker that has to go; thankfully his misses did not factor in this game but he stinks.
Although O-line did good tonight, Saints need more consistent play to open more holes for the running game.
How about more wide-outs getting into the offensive mix.
Tighten up the defensive run-stop effort between the 20's.

Overall, the + side of the ledger sheet is so much better tonight than the - side!

Nice Saints win, excited Falcons lost, let's say if this victory can be some type of foundation for a better year than most of us expected!  We will see!
