Last night a US President exercised his authority to appoint a Supreme Court Justice and he selected what appears to be a devoted Catholic and a constitutional jurist. But this now is political; has been since Judge Bork. This will be a story with great disagreement and more heat than light shed in debate. This should be an opportunity to practice generosity and grace, disagree if you must, but can we treat one another the way God wants us to?
