A Holy Day of Obligation

Today is a Holy Day of Obligation.  Make sure you get to Mass today as we celebrate the Solemn Feast of the Immaculate Conception.

Here in the United States we have several Holy Day's of Obligation.  They are:



January 1st - Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God
Thursday of the 6th week of Easter - Solemnity of the Ascension of Our Lord (often transferred to Sunday of that week)
August 15th - Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary
November 1st - Solemnity of All Saints
December 8th - Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception
December 25th - Solemnity of the Nativity of the Lord
