Tropical Storm Debby in the Gulf; please just go away
>>>>Debby, Debby go away. So here we go; living in the hurricane vulnerable Gulf Coast we get used to this. OK, I'm trying to convince myself! I hate this stuff and have been very concerned about these things in general since Katrina.
This one won't directly impact the area of Louisiana in the area I live; although rain could be an issue. But if we have learned anything over the years, a storm in the Gulf is bad news. Period.
As one who has a keen historic recall on all things hurricane, I am concerned about this being named storm #4 and it's only June 23rd. Remember, hurricane season starts June 1st and extends to November 30th. Wow! We are only in week 4 of a 25 week season.
In any event all we can do is sit and wait and be prepared. Thankfully, this has little potential(so they tell us) of huge development with Debby never expecting to "make it" to hurricane status.
As always, please pray for us in the southeast especially during hurricane season.
Our Lady of Prompt Succor, pray for us!
