The first Australian Saint

Yes, just last year the good folks from the land down under claimed their first Saint: St. Mary MacKillop.

Her story is very intriguing and a good read and her canonization has helped the fervor of Australian Catholicism.

I always remain interested in all things Australia as my wife and I were privileged to travel there back in 1988; seems like a hundred years ago.
